Baby things every new parent should have in their diaper bag

"Oh no, the baby's finally here! Maybe it's convenient for us just to stay inside since everything is here. I mean, we might forget something that our child needs."

If you're a frantic first-time parent, you've probably encountered having these moments. Sure, having a baby is a such a joy and all, but would you really risk going out without having the essential baby things you'd need?

Don't worry; we got you covered! Of course, you'd need to get out of the house with your child, too. Here's a list of everything you'd need in your diaper bag.

· Diapers. Of course, you'll never know when you're going to encounter a diaper change. How much you're going to bring with you? We say that to be sure, bring at least two diapers in your diaper bag. Diapers are usually lightweight and won't take much of space. Bring as much as you can especially if you know your child has a fast metabolism.

· Wipes. With the uncertainty that comes with your child filling out his diapers, comes the part when you're going to have to clean it. Not all restrooms have accessible water that you can use to wipe out your child's wastes. You can also use wipes for dirty surfaces.

· Changing pad. This is where you're going to have to put your child on when you're going to change their diapers. Again, not all surfaces are clean, especially if you're going to a public restroom. There are disposable changing pads you can use for sanitary purposes.

· Bottles. If you've already trained your child for bottle-feeding, then you can also bring some bottles with you. We recommend that you bring at least one, depending on how long you're going to leave the house. Before leaving, also make sure that you put warm water into the bottles to keep the temperature of the milk regulated.

· Blanket. These blankets aren't just to keep your child warm. It can also be used as a changing pad, bib, burp cloth, or nursing cover. It's actually worth it to invest in a medium-sized blanket since it has a lot of functions.

· Extra clothes. All parents should have some extra baby clothes in their diaper bags. You'll never know when your child will have some incidences that will need them to change their clothing. For example, there might be some spill-ups, drools, excessive sweating, and a whole lot more. Trust us, having a baby is one of the most exciting things you'll ever encounter in your life. That includes all the surprises that come with it too!

· Pacifier. You won't expect your baby to stay quiet at all times, and you're also not sure if the places you're going to go to will allow a crying baby! Plus, not everyone will be kind towards tolerating a crying child. As a courtesy to other people around the area, it's best if you could try to put on a pacifier on your child's mouth.

· Sunscreen. Baby skin is extremely sensitive and fragile. They haven't even reached the full final form of their complexion. Yes, you brought your blanket to use as a shade with you or even an umbrella. But just to be safe, you should also bring sunscreen for reapplication.

· First aid kit.
Your first aid kit doesn't have to be huge. Babies don't usually go into major accidents. They might get some allergic reactions from the environment or rashes that makes them uncomfortable, so it's better if you have an antibiotic cream with you! You can also bring some pain relievers just in case your child feels something wrong.

If you still don't get the dynamics when it comes to deciding which things you should include in your baby's diaper bag. We share to you our mantra: "better bring everything in need than to suffer." Again, it’s better to be safe than sorry!
