Go with the flow, everyone else is doing it too
Everyone else is making it up as they go along too!
With almost everyone you meet (literally everyone, like moms in the cafe, or grandmums in the park) talking about baby care, you could feel like you are the only parent in the world who doesn't know what they are doing. But the truth is, no one has all the answers.
If only there were instructions telling you what to do when your baby is screaming at 2am and you haven't slept in 24 hours. There is no rule book, no manual on how to raise a baby.
At the end of the day, your only motivation is to keep your baby healthy and happy - and most importantly, alive! The biggest tip we can give you is to take it a day at a time and go with the flow. You will learn to slowly understand your baby, and vice versa - helping both your baby and you connect with each other. As you move along, you will be better at handling and adjusting to your baby's needs, learning what steps to take (and to avoid) to make each day merrier than before.
Don't be ashamed if you feel the need to seek help and advice from a friend or a professional. If they can help you in any way possible, giving you some peace of mind on how to go about with your baby, I say go for it.
If you are feeling exhausted and frustrated not knowing what to do, remind yourself that it will not always be this intense. Your baby grows faster than ever - he or she won't always be nursing this often or crying this often. It's only temporary and before you know it, you will miss these frustrating times with your baby.
As moms, we do our best every day. We are not perfect but as long as you are able to reflect and evaluate that what you are doing is working, you are most likely on the right track. Ignore other judgy moms and focus on your own relationship with your baby.
